Traders and Raiders
Year Four will produce a 3D Viking Long Boat and decorate it with their own shields as a WOW starter.
We will be studying the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings and comparing and contrasting their daily life, how they constructed their ships, clothing, battles, arts and crafts.
We have designed our own Viking weapons and created round houses from clay. We read stories of King Arthur and the sword in the Stone and Alfred's burnt cakes. Our extended writing on the Viking attack from a monk's point of view was of a very high standard.
