Puddles and Rainbows, Signs of Spring
This project teaches children about the weather that happens during spring and allows them to explore natural phenomena, including rainbows. It supports them to explore colour in the natural world. We will also be looking at life cycles of butterflies and frogs.
Supporting your child at home
- Go on a spring walk and take photographs of the signs of spring.
- Make a weather diary to observe how the weather changes.
- Visit a pond and look for signs of new life, such as ducklings and frogspawn. Visit again over time to observe changes.
Nursery have had an exciting half term, watching caterpillars change into butterflies, seeing frogspawn hatch and seeing plants grow.
