At Goldenhill Primary Academy, we LOVE reading and we LOVE to show off just how much we read! 

In Reception & KS1, we are expected to read at least 4 times per week and our parents and teachers help us track this. At the end of each half term, if we have read 4 times a week, every week then we are awarded with a certificate and dip in the prize box!

The child who reads the most times during the half term in each class will also be rewarded with a new book!

In KS2, we use Accelerated Reader to quiz on our books.  If we pass our quiz our 'Total Word Count' is added to.  We aim to reach the next 'Word Count Milestone' and collect a raffle ticket each time we do! At the end of each half term, a raffle ticket is drawn and the lucky winner is awarded with a certificate and new book! 

In addition to this, whoever reads the most times during the half term in each class is also rewarded with a certificate and a new book!

Millionaire's Club!

We have a special Millionaire's Club for children who have read A MILLION WORDS! Any child who becomes a member of the Millionaire's Club is awarded with a Certificate and a McDonalds lunch!

We LOVE reading that much that we have even had to introduce a MULTI- MILLIONAIRE  club!
