It's a small world
This half term we have been finding out about the history of our local area and finding out why it is known as 'The Potteries'. For our WOW starter we studied Josiah Wedgwood and his jasper ware. We designed and made our own patterns and plates for display.
Our EXIT point was a visit from a local pottery designer Jasmine Simpson. She not only explained the pottery production process, talked about the history, showed some of her pieces, but we also helped create a Staffordshire Dog and decorated one for our school.
