Enchanted Woodland
In this unit children will be learning to identify and classify the animals and plants that live in the woods. They will be building structures out of natural materials and will learn how to read and make maps. They will also be learning about how different organisations protect the woodlands.

Year 1 were out on a woodland walk in our school grounds when we found a magical fairy door.
As part of our Enterprise week we designed and created sun catchers/wind chimes and fairy cakes.
Our Class Trip to Gentleshaw Wildlife Centre
We had an amazing day!
All the children were a credit to the academy and the sun shone on us too.
We met many animals and learn't a lot from the keepers.
