Tremors
To begin our topic, we went on a rock hunt around the school grounds, using a map to show where we found each one. We really enjoyed looking at how different the rocks were and spent time wondering how they might have been formed.
We have had oodles of fun learning about volcanoes!
We started off making our volcanos by creating a salt dough. We molded it into a volcano shape around a bottle.
We then painted the volcanoes using acrylic paints. After that, we compared two different reactions. Bicarb and vinegar plus coke and mentos.
We have also spent time creating our cast of 1000's models.
