Hello Year 1!

Another week has f l o o o o w n by! We had some gorgeous weather this past week, and I hope you all got the chance to get outside and enjoy the sunshine safely.

I have loved seeing any photographs or messages that you have sent in for me to see and share via our class page, so please keep this up! It is lovely for me to see your smiling faces, and lovely for all of your friends too. As the weeks go by, I miss you all more and more.

I hope that you also worked hard last week, and kept up the super work for whoever is helping you learn at home. We are on the final stretch now, so please keep up reading, writing and phonics especially, as much as possible before the summer break. Remember to have fun and get outside as much as possible, I have loved seeing some of you getting really creative during your time away from school!

As usual this week I have uploaded for you a range of activities in maths, English, reading comprehension tasks, phonics activities and things to do during the afternoon sessions. I hope you find these activities engaging and have some fun while doing them. Please note that the phonics sessions this week, as you will see, focus on alternative sounds. These sounds are new to some of the children within the class, but are going to be really important as the children move into Year 2. Please try your best to encourage your child to participate with them all.

If there is anything in particular that your child is struggling with, in any area of learning, please do not hesitate to contact the office, as I am happy to upload suitable resources and activities to support any gaps in learning. As always, if you need any support with resources, or would like your child to have a 1:1 call with a member of staff, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Our next Zoom call will take place on Friday 3rd July at 11:35am. I look forward to seeing all of your smiling faces, and hearing about what you have been up to this week!

Stay safe, stay positive, and stay amazing!

Miss you ALL so much.
