Remote Education

In the event of an academy closure or other exceptional circumstances that prevent pupils from attending school, remote education will be provided through the Goldenhill Primary Academy website.

Work will be uploaded to each year group’s class page in the form of a weekly overview timetable. This will provide clear guidance for pupils and families, alongside links to appropriate lessons and learning activities. Lessons will primarily be delivered through Oak National Academy, supported by additional resources selected by class teachers where appropriate.

During a wider or more prolonged academy closure, class teachers will use Microsoft Teams wherever possible. This may include regular video calls to check in with pupils, provide support and maintain contact, as well as opportunities for teachers to deliver lessons remotely.

Where internet access or other technical difficulties prevent a pupil from accessing online learning at home, printed learning packs will be made available. These will either be sent home or delivered to the family where necessary.

Our aim is to ensure that all pupils can continue to access purposeful, age-appropriate learning and remain connected with their teachers and classmates throughout any period of closure.
