As part of our remote learning curriculum offer we have decided to create a Wellbeing Wednesday afternoon.
This is a time where both the children on site and off site engage in activities away from the screen and to enjoy some family time. The aim to this is to provide children with positive memories, time away from their screens and time to express themselves in different ways which altogether should help with the children's wellbeing and mental health during such difficult times.
The children (both onsite and at home) are provided with a range of activities to engage in, throughout the afternoon, for each year group at the academy. These activities may include creating a hot chocolate station, building a tall tower, having a teddy bears picnic or going on a bike ride are to name but a few of the exciting activities we have been up to.
Below is an example of an activity sheet and some photographs of the children and what they have been up to in the afternoons!
