Following a significant amount of hard work and dedication from our staff, we are pleased to confirm that Goldenhill Primary Academy will begin a partial reopening from Thursday 9 July.

The following arrangements will be in place:

• FS1 and FS2 will be based together in the Nursery classroom.
• Year 1 will return to their usual classroom.
• Year 2 will be based in the school hall.

Arrival arrangements will be as follows:

• FS1: Nursery gate at 8:45am
• FS2: Nursery gate at 8:35am
• Year 1: Main office entrance
• Year 2: Hall doors at the rear of the school

At the end of the day, pupils will leave through the same entrances used in the morning. FS1 will finish at 2:55pm and FS2 at 3:05pm. Year 1 and Year 2 will start and finish at their usual times.

These arrangements have been carefully planned to ensure that the areas being used are safe and suitable for pupils and staff. We will continue to assess the situation closely, and further information regarding the remaining year groups and any additional reopening arrangements will be shared by the end of the week.

We would also like to thank the parents and carers who have kindly offered their support to the school. This has been greatly appreciated, and we will contact individuals directly should any assistance be required.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support during what has been a challenging and rapidly changing situation.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing issues caused by the recent flooding and the continued clean-up work required, school will remain closed to all children for at least Tuesday and Wednesday.

Remote learning will be provided from Tuesday onwards by each child’s class teacher through the school website. Further information and updates regarding pupils’ learning and the reopening of school will be shared as soon as they become available, as the situation remains ongoing and subject to change.

Due to a significant flood that has affected a number of areas within the school, we regret to inform you that the school will be closed to all pupils on Monday 6^th July.

We are currently working to assess the extent of the damage and begin the necessary recovery work. Our priority is to ensure that the school building and classrooms are restored to a suitable condition for children to return to learning.

We will provide a further update on Monday afternoon regarding arrangements for Tuesday 7^th July.
